New standards in metal processing

Machining

Albert Weber produces more than 300,000 engine blocks, 500,000 cylinder heads and around two million transmission and housing parts from raw materials such as aluminum, magnesium and grey cast iron every year. We turn, mill, drill, saw and grind to a level of precision and perfection that meets the demands of both us and our customers. Around the clock, seven days a week - enormous quantities, in a quality in which errors are not foreseen.

Machines that set standards
Machining is not witchcraft. Many metalworking companies have mastered it. But we want to be the best. So we only work with the best. Our machine parks in the plants at our locations are made up of the most modern systems and CNC machining centers available on the market: 4- and 5-axis CNC machining centers and honing machines. Machines from manufacturers who know what is important to us. Machines that set standards in metalworking.

Precision in the micrometer range
Our machines work with high-precision processes and technologies. In aluminum processing, we rely on high-speed cutting, CBN cutting materials and high-performance abrasives, as well as high-tech tools that reliably maintain tolerance limits in the micrometer range.

Preventive maintenance of tools
To ensure that we always deliver the precision that our customers demand, we use many different processes and testing methods. This also includes preventive maintenance: high-precision laser test benches, for example, detect signs of wear on the tool before they leave even microscopic traces on the workpiece.

Certified cleanliness
After machining, each workpiece is cleaned in high-pressure washers and the material and surfaces are smoothed. Employees in our residual dirt laboratory take random samples of the waste water to identify any errors in the machining process or signs of wear on the tools. Quality assurance only gives the green light if the metallic particles that remain in the filter do not exceed a weight of 50 milligrams and a diameter of 600 to 800 micrometers. In this way, we ensure that our components can be assembled and installed directly at the customer's premises without any further cleaning steps.

Highly qualified and motivated employees
Albert Weber employs men and women who have mastered their trade, for example as industrial mechanics or mechatronics engineers, with modern production technology and machines. Employees who identify with our company and its products with heart and passion and who live and breathe quality. Our employees, their qualifications and motivation are an important key factor in our success. We can rely on our people.
