Aluminum die casting

Weber Roding produces over 2 million die-cast components for the automotive industry every year. In the die casting process, liquid metal is pressed into a die casting mold under high pressure. A high flow velocity is created within the die casting mold. This and the high casting or filling pressure are characteristic of die casting. Due to the low cycle frequency and high pressure, cast parts with high dimensional accuracy and excellent surface quality can be produced in a very short time. It also allows the production of thin-walled and highly complex components. With a suitable tool design, bores and undercuts can also be cast.

Industry partner
With our many years of expertise and an excellent development team, we are not just our customers' extended workbench. Albert Weber sees itself as a project partner and is involved in product realization right from the start. Collaboration and exchange with all project participants is extremely important to us, as this is the only way we can get to know the requirements and integrate them into our solution portfolio. As a team, we work together to lay the foundations for successful product development and continuously improve these in the series production process.

Machinery
Our machinery consists mainly of cold chamber die casting machines. The 11 die-casting cells in the clamping force range between 8400-16000 kN are from renowned manufacturers and guarantee the implementation of the requirements placed on us. Our cells are highly automated and have an innovative cooling system using air and coolants. Automatic coding within the process chain is also possible.

Toolmaking
The high standards we set ourselves begin in toolmaking. The know-how of the products often lies in the detail of the tool design. That is why we set high standards in the manufacture, maintenance and optimization of deburring and die-casting tools with our own toolmaking department.

Quality assurance
Whether pre-series or series production, the focus is always on detecting defects. X-ray inspection, visual inspection, roughness measurement and measurement by CMM are part of Albert Weber's daily routine.
